Flips in pseudo-triangulations

Pseudo-triangulations are a very interesting generalization of triangulations. They have found applications in diverse areas such as computer graphics, kinetic data structures, and rigidity theory. The ability to transform one pseudo-triangulation into another via local transformations, called flips, is crucial to some of these applications. I will present the best known results on flips in pseudo-triangulations, along with several open problems.
