Management of RDF data has been developed during last several years for supporting Semantic Web application. In this field, database technology has been involved. Although there have been non-relational DBMS proposals for storing RDF data, the majority of RDF data storage solutions use relational DBMSs. The most popular database representations for shredding RDF resource description into relational tables are: schema-oblivious, schema-aware and a hybrid presentation. In schema-aware approach, property tables are proposed to speed up queries over triple-stores. As an improvement, an alternative solution ¡°vertically partitioning¡± the RDF data is proved achieving similar performance while being much simpler to design.
