Generalized Obstacle Representations of Graphs

Alpert, Koch, and Laison introduced obstacle representations and the related parameter obstacle number, of graphs in 2010. Since then, obstacle representations and obstacle numbers have been the subject of considerable research.
In this talk, I will discuss a family of generalizations of obstacle representations motivated by the recent work on grid obstacle representations of Bishnu et al 2017. I will present preliminary results for some of these generalizations.
