Some Re­marks on Tech­ni­cal In­ter­views

The road from aca­d­e­mic life to the in­dus­try can seem daunt­ing, es­pe­cially the in­ter­view process for a grad­u­ate stu­dent. There are many as­pects to take into con­sid­er­a­tion when ap­ply­ing for in­dus­try jobs. As­pects such as in­ter­view prepa­ra­tions, choos­ing the right com­pany, the field of tech­nol­ogy to get into and var­i­ous other top­ics that can be ex­plored for an end­less num­ber of hours. In this talk, I would give a short sum­mary of the tech­ni­cal in­ter­views. I will ex­plain some ex­am­ple in­ter­view ques­tions, their an­swers and dos and don't. The focus in this talk will be on what kind of al­go­rith­mic prepa­ra­tion one needs to have to be suc­cess­ful in in­ter­view­ing with com­pa­nies like Ama­zon, Face­book, Google, Uber, ...
